Joel was admitted to practice in 1974 following graduation from law school at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. He joined the firm in 2001, and is licensed to practice in the State of Minnesota and is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court and the United States Supreme Court. He has experience in all phases of insurance defense practice, including auto, premises liability, clergy misconduct, products liability, employment and discrimination law, dram shop, governmental liability and insurance coverage. He also has extensive experience in representing asbestos companies in both Minnesota and North Dakota.
